The Jaguar F-TYPE is an iconic and outstanding model from an automaker that has always risen to the challenge. That’s why it’s bittersweet for us here at Jaguar Indianapolis to bid adieu to this modern classic. Here’s a closer look at the story of this luxury performance vehicle and what to expect from the final year of the Jaguar F-TYPE.

Jaguar F-TYPE: A Life in Review

The Jaguar F-TYPE took inspiration from the Jaguar E-TYPE, one of the most remarkable and recognizable vehicles ever created. The Jaguar E-TYPE was produced from 1961 to 1974 and was once called “the most beautiful car ever made” by none other than Enzo Ferrari.

The F-TYPE name graced a series of concept cars starting as far back as the 1980s, but it finally stuck with the 2014 model year, which was initially produced as a soft-top convertible and fastback coupe. Both its initial design and the 2021 redesign proved that the Jaguar F-TYPE was a more than worthy successor to the Jaguar E-TYPE, offering all of its predecessor’s beauty and performance capability. In its latest iteration, the potent and strikingly beautiful 2023 Jaguar F-TYPE can do 0-60 in just 3.5 seconds at a top track speed of 186 miles per hour.

A Final Farewell

Of course, the Jaguar F-TYPE is going out with a bang in the form of the 75 special edition 2024 models to be released in the United States and the United Kingdom. The 75 Edition will have an updated suspension, “75” emblems, and available all-wheel drive. It will also come with 20-inch wheels featuring an available five or ten-spoke configurations in gloss black, alongside interior luxury features like a Performance seat design and leather and suede detailing.
